The TR800 is a portable instrument designed for the accurate ratio measurement of
transformers and all devices with AC ratiometric dividers associated with them.

This information is valid for the Capacitive Dividers and Capacitive Voltage Dividers
The Connection for a typical measurement using the auxiliary transformer. It should
be noted that the ratio of the CVT may be different when tested at 0-5 kV than at
the operating voltage due to the non-linearity of the components used in the CVT.
Alternatively, the TR700/800 Ratiometers may be used to test separately, first the
divider and then the intermediate voltage transformer. This test, however, is limited
to CVT’s with accessible High voltage connections.19
